About SHADO

We were built by people trained to find things out.

Founded on Military Intelligence discipline, and organised around one idea: know the threat before you answer it.

The origin

Most security firms start with people. We started with a question.

Founded by a Military Intelligence veteran of the Indian Army.

In military intelligence, the question that comes before every deployment is not how many — it is what do we actually know. Who is the adversary, what do they want, where are we thin, and which of those answers is verified rather than assumed. Getting that wrong is not a service-level breach. It is a casualty.

SHADO was founded to carry that discipline into commercial security — an industry that, for the most part, still sells headcount.

Guards protect a perimeter. Intelligence protects the organisation. We do both — but never in that order.

In keeping with the tradecraft it comes from, service particulars — rank, unit history and postings — are not published on a public website.

Nothing is assumed

An assessment is only as good as the information under it. Every claim we act on is sourced, dated and attributable — or it is flagged as unconfirmed.

Context outranks headcount

The right answer is rarely more people. It is the right people, at the right points, briefed on what actually threatens this site.

Discretion is structural

Confidentiality is not a clause we add at the end. It shapes how we collect, who sees a finding, and how a report is written.

Two models

Bodies at the gate, or eyes on the threat.

Both models put a uniform on your site. Only one can tell you what that uniform is there to stop.

The product
Manpower

Headcount. You buy a number of bodies for a number of hours.

Intelligence-led

A threat picture, and the deployment that answers it.

How strength is set
Manpower

By floor area, gate count or whatever the budget line allows.

Intelligence-led

By assessed risk — where exposure is real, and where it is not.

The briefing
Manpower

Shift timings, register, gate discipline.

Intelligence-led

What matters here, why it matters, and what changes if it moves.

Posture
Manpower

Reactive. The incident is written up after it happens.

Intelligence-led

Anticipatory. Patterns are surfaced before they become incidents.

The site
Manpower

Treated as generic. One SOP, copied across contracts.

Intelligence-led

Treated as specific. SOPs written to this environment.

What success means
Manpower

Attendance held and posts filled.

Intelligence-led

Losses avoided, risk measurably reduced, findings closed out.

The method

An intelligence cycle, run on your site.

“Intelligence-led” is a phrase every provider now uses. This is what it means in practice.

Architectural drawings spread across a dark table

CollectBuild the picture

Site walk-throughs, incident and loss history, access and movement patterns, shift realities, local threat context and open-source signals. Recorded as observed — never as assumed.

VerifySeparate fact from rumour

Every input is corroborated before it earns a place in the assessment. What is confirmed is marked confirmed; what is not is labelled as such and carries no weight in the plan.

AnalyseTurn facts into a threat picture

What is likely, what would hurt most, where the two intersect. We rank exposure by consequence rather than by convenience, and identify which controls actually move the risk.

ActDeploy against something named

Posts, patrol routes, access rules, SOPs, escalation ladders and technology — each one traceable back to a specific risk on the assessment. Nothing is deployed for appearance.

ReviewFeed the loop

Incidents, near misses, audit findings and supervisor reports are measured against the plan, then pushed back into collection. The threat picture is never finished — and neither is the plan.

Step five is the one that matters. A plan that never returns to collection is a document, not a defence.

Why SHADO

Five reasons this holds up under scrutiny.

Not claims about how much we care — five structural choices that change what you get on site.

Intelligence-Led Approach

Every deployment begins with analysis. We read the threat picture first, then build the response around it.

End-to-End Solutions

Advisory, investigation and manpower under one command structure — no gaps between vendors.

Trusted Professionals

Vetted, trained and continuously supervised personnel who represent your brand on site.

Proactive Protection

We work to prevent the incident, not merely to report it after the fact.

Client-Centric Partnerships

Long-term partnerships built on transparency, responsiveness and measurable outcomes.

Our values

Eight words we are willing to be judged on.

Every security firm lists these. Here is what each one actually obliges us to do.

Integrity

We report what we find, including when the finding is inconvenient for us.

Professionalism

Turnout, conduct and communication that reflect well on your brand at your gate.

Accountability

Named supervision and written records. Every post, patrol and escalation is traceable.

Intelligence

Analysis before deployment. We would rather think first than react fast.

Discipline

Standards held on the quiet nights, not only on the audited ones.

Trust

Earned through consistency over time — never assumed on day one.

Confidentiality

What we learn about your organisation stays inside it. Default, not an upgrade.

Reliability

Cover that holds — through shift changes, festivals, monsoon and crisis.

Sectors we secure

The threat picture changes by sector.

A warehouse loses stock at the dock. A hospital loses control at the entrance. A gated community loses it at the visitor gate. We brief to the environment, not to a template.
